Animal-based Keto Hashbrown Breakfast Plate

If sweet and savory is your thing, then this beef and pumpkin breakfast plate is going to be one of your go-to recipes. It is an Animal-based twist on hashbrown plates, but using ground beef and a small portion of pumpkin instead of potatoes. Using only a handful of ingredients, this recipe can be prepared in no time. Pair this recipe with fried eggs for a balanced, nutrient-dense breakfast.

Do you have to serve this hash plate with sunny-side-up eggs?

No, you don’t have to. You can also serve this breakfast plate with soft-boiled or hard-boiled eggs, salmon cakes, canned tuna, or cheese. All these variations make for easy Animal-based diet recipes to kickstart your day.

Can you prepare this breakfast dish without pumpkin?

Some people are more flexible with their Animal-based diets and include a small amount of the least-toxic plant foods, in this case, pumpkin. If desired, you can omit it or swap it for squash or zucchini. However, we recommend giving this version a try because pumpkins are nutritious and only add 1g of net carbs to a portion. They are highly nutritious, may support healthy vision, and potentially support your immune system.

Is this Animal-based breakfast plate suitable for meal prep?

Absolutely! The best Animal-based diet recipes are ones that are meal prep-friendly. This dish is perfect because it is quick to prepare and tastes just as good the following days. After preparing the hash, divide it into airtight containers. Store it in the refrigerator with your desired side for up to 3 days. Serve it cold or warm for breakfast or lunch. To keep your Animal-based ground beef recipes a little more interesting, you can serve the pumpkin hash with a different side each day.

Disclaimer:

Parsley is used as a garnish and can be omitted if following a strict Animal-based diet.

This was a wonderful recipe, very different from what I normally eat, so was a welcomed change! Will make again, maybe even try to sub chorizo for the ground beef.
