It's pumpkin season. What better way to kick off the fall flavors than with a hot cup of Keto pumpkin spice cappuccino? To make this Keto cappuccino, pumpkin puree is added to a pan of milk, sweetener, and spices and brought to a simmer before pouring into the coffee and topping with milk foam or whipped cream (optional). This is a great recipe to have on hand in case you have any leftover pumpkin puree from another recipe.

What's the Difference between a Cappuccino and Latte? A traditional cappuccino has an even distribution of espresso, steamed milk, and foamed milk. A latte has more steamed milk and a light layer of foam. A cappuccino is distinctly layered, while in a latte, the espresso and steamed milk are mixed together.

How do I make my own pumpkin spice blend? In a small bowl, add the cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg, and whisk together until well combined. Store in a small airtight jar and use as required:

    Prepare a half cup of espresso coffee the way you like it. Either instant coffee, in a french press, or from a coffee capsule machine. Set aside.

    Set a small saucepan or milkpan over medium heat, add the pumpkin puree, Keto vanilla syrup, pumpkin spice blend, and ⅓ cup almond milk. Whisk together to break any spice lumps. Bring the milk to a rolling simmer, then remove it from the heat.

    Prepare the milk foam by adding the remaining 1/4 cup of almond milk to a milk frothing machine or using a handheld whisk. Carefully pour the spiced steamed milk into the coffee. Top with the milk foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish. If you don't have a milk frother, you can enjoy it without or top it with whipped cream instead for an indulgent treat.
