    Thinly slice the onion and grate the turnip. In a pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions and turnips for about 10 minutes until soft. Stir constantly to prevent the onions from frying. Meanwhile, set the water to boil.

    Add the erythritol. Sauté for another 2 minutes. Then, add in the vinegar and stir for a couple of minutes until the vinegar has evaporated.

    Pour in the boiling water. Cover and lower the heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes, checking occasionally to ensure the mixture doesn't burn.
