Keto Deviled Spider Eggs
This spooky Keto snack or appetizer is great for entertaining a crowd with something everyone will love! Deviled eggs are made with a traditionally seasoned filling. However, these eggs are topped with scary, festive spiders made of black olives. This spider decor takes a little extra time to prepare, but it’s worth the fun surprise you’ll give others! Take this recipe to your Halloween gathering, or you can easily chop up the olives and include them in your recipe during non-festive seasons. For even more Halloween fun, check out the Carb Manager Keto Avocado “Devil” Eggs! They feature little red bell pepper “devil horns” and a bright green, avocado-based filling. These two deviled egg recipes together can make any Halloween gathering fun and taste great together.

Make These Spider Eggs More Festive and Frightening!
You can change up your deviled egg filling for an even more Haloween-themed look. As mentioned above, these deviled spider eggs pair well with the Carb Manager Avocado “Devil” Eggs, which feature a bright green filling. At your discretion, mash half an avocado and include it in your egg yolk filling. You can adjust the seasonings to your taste without affecting your macros. Want to give your guests an even bigger surprise? Include a ¼ tsp of wasabi paste to the bright green avocado filling to ass a spicy twist that matches in color. This takes “trick or treat” to a new level!
How To Enjoy This Recipe Throughout The Year
Don’t hold onto this Keto recipe just for one holiday! You can easily make Keto-friendly adjustments to this recipe to enjoy year-round. If you don’t want “spider eggs”, simply chop up the black olives and serve on top of the egg filling or fold them into the filling directly. Other Keto ingredients that can be included in your deviled eggs are bacon bits, minced celery, or chopped garlic. Use your favorite type of mustard to change up the flavor whenever you want to try something new. You could even include a vinegar-based hot sauce to your filling, for those who like a spicier deviled egg. Garnishes for deviled eggs can include freshly chopped parsley, a sprinkle of paprika, or chopped green onion.

Step 1
Make hard-boiled eggs by placing your eggs in the bottom of a pot and filling with water until the eggs are covered. Set the pot over a stove and bring to a boil. Once at a boil, cook the eggs for 12 minutes for hard-boiled centers. Then, transfer the cooked eggs to an ice bath. Once the eggs are completely chilled, remove from the ice bath. Peel away the egg shells to reveal your smooth, hard-boiled eggs. To make this an even quicker recipe, you may start with pre-made hard-boiled eggs you find at the grocery store.Step 2
Slice each egg in half and scoop the hard-boiled yolk into a bowl. Use a fork to mash the egg yolk into a fine, paste-like consistency. Whisk in the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, salt, pepper, celery seed, paprika, and parsley into the yolk until you have a thickened deviled egg filling. If you prefer your filling to be entirely smooth, you can also make this filling in a food processor. Once done, fill a piping bag with your deviled egg filling and set aside for Step 4.Step 3
It’s time to make your spiders! Each spider is made with 1 ½ black olives. Slice a whole olive in half lengthwise. Keep one half of the olive as the spider’s body. Then, slice the remaining half and an additional olive half into 8 spider legs. Repeat this process for as many deviled eggs as you’re making.Step 4
Fill each half of the eggs with approximately 1 TB of deviled egg filling. The filling should rise a little above the egg whites. Then, create the spiders on each egg by placing half on olive on top of the filling as the body. Arrange the 8 legs in the filling around the spiders’ bodies to complete the look. The original recipe here makes a total of 6 deviled spider eggs. You can easily enjoy up to 2 pieces for a yummy snack or party appetizer.
