Ingredients

  • Step 1

    Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over a low/medium heat. Finely slice the onion and add to the skillet, cooking gently until tender.
  • Step 2

    Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan along with the cumin seeds. Cook for a further minute or two until fragrant.

    Thinly slice the cabbage and add to the skillet with the remaining butter and curry powder. Stir well to combine and cook over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes until the cabbage is just tender.

    Add the vegetable stock and simmer for 5-6 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated and the cabbage is soft.

      Added ground turkey and a little more spice. Also used chicken broth.

            Love the flavors in the quick, low calorie dish! I add some quickly fried up soy protein crumbles for extra crunch and protein. Perfect 👌🏼

                    This is delicious! Doubled the recipe and I'm glad I did! Used cumin powder 3/4 tsp because I didn't have seeds. Tastes good warmed up or cold. Will definitely make this again.

                      Add a lot of salt. Tastes better. Good quick side but not one I will do regularly. Good use of the rest of a head of cabbage
