Keto Breakfast Steak, Eggs and Bacon Plate

7 ratings

This is a great dish to prep ahead of time so breakfast is ready to go. Steak, eggs and bacon make for a heavier breakfast and are for those people looking to really fill up for the day. When I eat like this I can usually go several hours before eating again. Use avocado oil if dairy-free.

  • Step 1

Preheat an oven to 400 F. Place bacon on a rack over a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes. You will need to flip them at least once to get them evenly crispy.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

In the meantime, place steak in a ziploc bag with oil, salt and pepper. Massage the steaks well. The longer you massage them the more flavor and tender they will be after grilling.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Preheat a grill to 500 F and place steaks on the grill.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Flip them once they will release from the grill on their own, about 3-5 minutes. This means they have gotten a good sear. Cook on the other side for several more minutes. Flip again. Keep flipping after a couple minutes on each side until they give to some pressure (it should feel like you’re poking your finger into the palm of your hand for medium rare). Remove steaks to a cutting board and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

While the steaks are grilling, cook the eggs. Season eggs as you would like. If you are meal prepping, you can cook the eggs day off. I like sunny side up eggs. To do this, place butter in a hot nonstick skillet until melted. Add eggs and cook for 30 seconds. Top pan with a lid and cook for around 1 minute until white are opaque and yolks are set, but still runny.
    Step 5
  • Step 6

To plate, slice steak thinly, place two eggs on the plate with two slices of bacon. Serve hot.
