Best Paleo Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries
These are the best Paleo Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries! Sweet and creamy sweet potatoes are cut into a thick julienne. Then, they are tossed in a bowl with plenty of olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and kosher salt. The air fryer is the perfect way to cook fries because it can perfectly brown the pieces on all sides. After being browned in the air fryer, the seasonings taste lovely and give the fries a great flavor. We like to pair our Paleo fries with Paleo-friendly ketchup. We made this recipe using one pound of sweet potatoes, making it easy to multiply the recipe to make larger batches. Kids will even love this Paleo Air Fryer recipe!
What are the best sweet potatoes to use?
We like to use organic sweet potatoes as they are pesticide-free. However, feel free to use conventional sweet potatoes for this Paleo air fryer recipe.
What is the best way to cut these fries?
A fry cutter is handy in making perfectly even fries. It may be worth investing in one if you make fries often. If not, a steady hand and a sharp knife work great. Peel the potatoes, then cut the potatoes into 3 ½” sections. Slice each section into about ½” or slightly thicker slices. Then, cut them in the other direction into ½” slices to make uniform fries. Having uniform pieces is critical for the fries to cook evenly.
To make the ultimate pairing, serve this with other Paleo air fryer recipes like our Keto Balsamic Kale Chips!

Step 1
Peel the potatoes, then cut the potatoes into 3 ½” sections. You can peel the skins onto a paper towel to crumble them up and toss them when you are done for easy clean-up. If the potatoes are large and long, you may be able to cut the potatoes in half.Step 2
Slice each section into about ½” or slightly thicker slices. Then cut them in the other direction into ½” slices (or whatever thickness you did on the slices) to create uniform fries. Having uniform pieces is critical for the fries to cook evenly. You can even consider purchasing a fry cutter if this is a recipe you may make often and don’t have the best knife skills.Step 3
Toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil and spices. Make sure that the spices are distributed uniformly throughout. A large bowl is best for this step.Step 4
Divide the batch into two and cook the first half at 375 F for (190 C) for 15 mins. Repeat with the second batch. Serve immediately.
